Meet the band
Matt Yeager- Rhythm Guitar/Lead Vocals- Matt has been a singer/songwriter for over 20 years performing regionally throughout the Chicagoland area and all over Kankakee for the last 10 years, as well as touring the Midwest back in the early days. He brings decades of experience with him to the stage having played hundreds of shows, festivals, weddings, private events and corporate functions. "With this band, the focus has always been about quality and cohesion. I want this band to be different. We want to deliver a tight, precise show... but we also want everyone to have fun."

Benjamin King- Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals- When you grow up in a musical family, there tend to be some big shoes to fill. No trouble here. Ben King has soared right to the top of the King family making a name for himself as one of the areas best lead guitar players. He was the last piece to fall into place for the SSSC. "I reached out to Ben last... thinking that acquiring him would be a Hail Mary," Matt said. "Between his responsibilities at the store, plus having 2 kids... I thought he would say he just didn't have the time to commit to a new project." Luckily for all of us, he was able to make the time. And the rest is history.
Ben plays an American Fender Stratocaster guitar and Fender Amplification.
Jake "Zimmy" Zimmerman- Percussion- ZImmy has been playing drums for more than half his life. He brings a great deal of panache to the band by blending a traditional 4-piece kit... with the modern technology of a Roland drum pad... and the boutique tone of custom shells and cymbals to create a totally unique style that's all his own. Zimmy sets himself apart from the crowd by making smart choices for every piece he adds to his set up. It's all in the detail work. Top that off with masterful rhythm and a punchy, bombastic hitting... and you got the recipe for greatness. "Having Zimmy on drums was a no-brainer" Matt said. "Being in a band with one of your good friends is every musicians dream. And we have that."

Eric Carroll- Bass/Backing Vocals- Bass players have long been the butt of jokes in the musical world. Some people think it's easy. Some people think it's pointless. But when you strip away all the fineries... you realize that the bass player truly is the lifeblood of the band. The lifeblood of the stage show. Good bands can put any old stooge on the bass. But great bands find a player who understands and appreciates the instrument and it's value to the sound. No one better accomplishes this task than Eric Carroll. Starting off providing accompaniment for his brother Lupe in his younger days, Eric found his calling on the low end. He quickly caught the ear of Matt and Zimmy since they were all already friends at that point. And when things lined up just right and everyone was freed up from other projects, Eric was brought into the fold. Eric has great rhythm, timing and instincts. And on top of his craftsmanship on the bass guitar, he is coming into his own as a vocalist as well. "We haven't even begun to scratch the surface of Eric's potential," Matt said. "When we started off, Eric was probably the greenest of all of us. But now, he dominates on bass and every day, he adds more on the backing vocals. His work alone will take this band to the next level."
